In the brief moment he had seen Harry’s body hanging lifelessly in the water, Tom felt an unknown panic rush through him. He was the first Champion in the lake and he was the first Champion to come out. Everyone cheered then but Tom did not hear them. No one could pry Harry’s cold body from his arms either. Tom carried him all the way back to the castle.
